This sweet family told me that they had just bought a turquoise camping trailer and asked if I would do a session for them with it. My response was basically OMG YES!! So one beautiful sunny September day I met them at a campground along the Stillaguamish river and we had a magical time running around the giant trees in the Mt. Baker – Snoqualmie National Forest, dipping our toes in the water, and swinging on ropes. The water was so beautiful, green and clear. The campsite we used had a sandy beach that the boys loved squishing their little toes in. It was truly amazing. (If you are interested in camping here the campground can be found by following this link: https://www.recreation.gov/camping/turlo-campground/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&parkId=70351)
This session left me feeling energized and inspired and I began thinking about how I could do this more often. Next summer, I am going to start offering camping sessions regularly. They will include the camping spot (that your family can stay at after the session!), firewood, and s’more goodies (unless there is a burn ban).
I am so excited about doing this and even more excited to say that I won’t just be doing camping sessions. Whatever your family loves to do, let’s do it. I want to capture it so you can hang on to these beautiful memories for the rest of your life. Does your family go skiing every year? I want to photograph this. Do you picnic once a week in summers? Rad, let me document that. Are you avid hikers? So cool, let me follow you with my camera. Do you bake pies on rainy days? Yum! Also, let me take pictures, and maybe steal a slice 😉 Whatever your family does together, that is want I want to memorialize for you.
